Me (Reiki-ho Shinpiden Master)
There are over 75 lineages these days; all stemming from Mikao Usui around 100 years ago. I have been attuned in the original (well, technically, that is a closed group in Japan called Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai) Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage. Usui Reiki Ryoho runs through the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai organization of Kan’ichi Taketomi and Kimiko Koyama as well as through Hiroshi Doi’s Gendai-ho organization. However, to be more accurate, I was trained in Reiki-ho (Modern Reiki Method for Healing). This was developed by Hiroshi Doi, a Reiki Master in Japan, who trained in both the Japanese and Western Reiki traditions.
If you want to add to the complexity, there is also a system called Gendai Reiki-ho. This system was also founded by Hiroshoi Doi which is also based on both the traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho and Western-style Reiki techniques. However, the difference here is that the Gendai Reiki-ho system is based on Hiroshi Doi’s training with Mieko Mitsui, Kimiko Koyama, Hiroshi Ohta and Chiyoko Yamaguchi. Therefore, it’s really Reiki-ho, not Gendai Reiki-ho, that I consider my personal lineage, since my lineage before Hiroshoi Doi comes from Kan’ichi Taketomi and Kimiko Koyama.
Confused? Yeah, it’s a lot to digest and understand. The reason I mention all of this to begin with is that your Reiki treatment can have a different feeling and energy. It can feel relaxing, indifferent, or jarring. I believe that these variations could be due to things such as the Reiki Master’s personal energy signature or their lineage. What’s most important is that you feel safe and secure with your Reiki Master.
Ann is very passionate about Reiki. My Reiki experiences with her has been very healing. She is compassionate, understanding and very intuitive. I highly recommend Ann to anyone wanting a Reiki experience.
